The slot machine developer Ainsworth Game Technology started life in 1995 by Les Ainsworth. He was one of the founders of the established slot game manufacturer Aristocrat and decided it was time to set up the new business.

In the beginning Ainsworth’s primary focus was slot machine technology, producing cabinets and kiosks for clubs, bars and casinos in Australia. It didn’t take long for the Ainsworth slot games to gain recognition and their slot machines were soon being exported to several other parts of the world, such as the US, Canada and Europe and Asia.

Although Ainsworth slot machines occupy fairly small areas on the casino floor in casinos that have their machines, their games are very popular. The slot titles they release bare similarities to some of the Aristocrat games, with plenty of Dragons, wild animals and patriotic symbols. The Australian connection is very much alive in Ainsworth games like Pink Galah (a Cockatoo that is native to Australia).

In more recent times Ainsworth has ventured into the world of internet gaming, with the release of several of their slot titles through a partnership with GameAccount Network. Some of you will know that GameAccount have similar arrangements with Aristocrat and NextGen Gaming. The first games to be released online included the Asian-themed Dragon Lines and the totally wild Safari Heat. We can be expecting many more to be released in the future as this Australian-based manufacturer looks to increase its global reach.
