NetEnt are planning to release a South Park slot game

Online casino software developer NetEnt announced this week that it was planning to release a slot game based on the popular South Park cartoon series franchise.

The plans for the new slot were unveiled at the International Casino Exhibition (ICE) in London this week and all of the show’s main characters including Kenny, Kyle, Stan and the potty-mouthed Cartman will be involved in the slot.

South Park is a multi-award winning cartoon series aimed at adults that is based around the lives of four primary school kids who live in the Colorado town of South Park. It was created by Trey Parker and Matt Stone.

Further details regarding the slot are set to be released in the coming weeks but South Park was not the only licensed title that NetEnt has enjoyed success with. The online casino software developer also released Frankenstein and Scarface slots in 2011 to huge success.

CEO for NetEnt Per Eriksson stated “South Park has a cult following around the world and we are truly proud to bring it to the gaming market. We have had some great success with branded games in the past, like Frankenstein and Scarface. South Park is our biggest game yet and we are tremendously excited about its potential.”

No official release date has been set for the South Park slot but it is anticipated to be released in the coming months. It follows some popular new releases from the company, which include the 5 reel Thief slot and slot game Elements.
