IGT’s MegaJackpots progressive has been won, with one lucky player netting a staggering $1,370,921 in one spin. The win, which is believed to have occurred on May 12th is the third time this progressive jackpot has been won in 2015.
Details of the winning player and the casino they won it at are still unknown, but it is expected that IGT will release more details of the win later this week. This latest big jackpot win follows a flurry of other huge payouts over the past month. In April one lucky player won a whopping €7.8m on the Net Ent Hall of Gods progressive and earlier in the same month another player took down Microgaming’s Mega Moolah jackpot for $7.5m on their mobile phone.
IGT recently revamped their MegaJackpots progressive reducing the number of game to two and also making it available on mobile phones. The difference is noticeable, as before 2015 the jackpot had barely been won. Only two wins were recorded between 2009 – 2014. It has been won twice in a month now and looks set to compete with many other online networked progressive jackpots.
