Casino software company Microgaming announced Thursday that they will be releasing a sequel to their popular Playboy slot to be called Playboy™ Gold. This online slot will be accompanied by a similar live dealer product that Microgaming have been developing for online play.

According to a press release on the companies website, the game offers 6 reels and a host of base game and bonus features. It will include imagery from the iconic global brand made famous by the late founder Hugh Hefner.

It’s release date has been set for 7th March 2018.

Playboy Gold has been built in partnership with Triple Edge Studios, a new independent studio that is providing exclusive content to Microgaming. The game will be officially launched at ICE in February, along with a range of other new releases that will be exclusively available to Microgaming and Quickfire operators.

Speaking about the new release, Valerie Golson, Playboy’s Senior Vice President of Gaming and Location Based Entertainment said: “For decades, gaming has been one of the most popular and iconic parts of the Playboy Lifestyle.

From our successful Playboy Clubs and Casinos and land-based games to our VIP player events and our online gaming properties, Playboy’s unique and exciting take on the world of gaming have been some of the most successful in the industry.

We’re thrilled to be working with Microgaming to expand our partnership and introduce a new gaming experience for players around the world, “ she added.

David Reynolds, Games Publisher at Microgaming commented: “To work with Playboy again has been a real pleasure. They are one of the most recognised and popular consumer brands in the world and Triple Edge Studios has worked tirelessly to bring the brand to life in Playboy Gold.

The game is hosted by Playmates Raquel and Audrey and delivers non-stop action. We are excited for the game’s launch and to be unveiling the title at the industry’s biggest trade show!” He added.

This announcement by Microgaming follows a similar big announcement Wednesday that NetEnt are releasing a movie-themed slot based on the 2017 Jumanji film. Playtech have also provided demo versions of their two new DC Comics slots; Batman Begins and Batman v Superman Dawn of Justice. Other slots developers are also rolling out lots of new titles ready to parade in front of the casino world at ICE in February.
