PG Soft has recently introduced its newest mobile game, Museum Mystery, adding to its growing portfolio of digital mobile games. Museum Mystery is a five-reel video slot game that incorporates a mystery symbol with an 2x multiplier into its gameplay.
Solving the mystery
The game is set in a grand museum, where players are tasked with solving the mystery surrounding the disappearance of the museum’s prized possession, the Huaxia. The Wild symbol in Museum Mystery is represented by an archaeologist, while the scatter symbol is depicted as the museum itself. The Wild symbol can only appear on reels two, three, four, and five.
When a Mystery symbol lands on the reels, it remains in place until the end of the spin and reveals a randomly selected symbol (excluding the scatter symbol) after a winning combination is achieved. If one or more mystery symbols contribute to a win, the total win is multiplied by their combined multiplier.
The multiplier is retained at the bottom of the reels and increases with each subsequent mystery symbol win during the spin. In cases where there is an existing total multiplier, the win is multiplied by both the new mystery symbol multiplier and the current total multiplier.
Free spins
The game also features a free spins round, which is triggered when three museum scatter symbols appear on the screen. Landing three scatters not only grants players 10 free spins but also awards them three times the initial bet amount. Each additional scatter symbol that appears during the free spins round doubles the total bet amount.
Before each free spin, a mystery symbol is added to a random reel, occupying positions two, three, or four. Once players reach the 10th spin and nine mystery symbols have been revealed, no further mystery symbols will be introduced to the reels.
