Independent game development studio Thunderkick has recently introduced a new slot titled “Split Happens“. The game incorporates a distinctive bowling theme along with features like walking wilds and respins in a uniquely different gaming experience.
The gameplay unfolds on a traditional 5×3 grid, allowing players to form winning combinations in both directions, ultimately offering the potential to achieve maximum wins of up to 3,000x the initial stake.
Walking wilds
The core gameplay is enhanced by the presence of walking stacked wilds in the form of bowling pins, which trigger a minimum of two respins when reels two, three, or four become filled with them. These wild symbols are converted into stacked wilds and subsequently move towards the outer edges of the reels with each respin.
In the event that a walking stacked wild lands on the third reel, the unique Split Happens feature is activated. This feature splits the wild symbol in half, positioning a stacked wild on both the second and fourth reels before the respins are initiated.
Bonus round
Players can access the bonus round by accumulating three scatter symbols depicting bowling balls in the bonus meter. This achievement rewards them with five free spins. Throughout this bonus round, a multiplier is displayed above the reels, increasing by 1x with each respin and being applied to all wins featuring a stacked wild symbol.
The Power Reset feature comes into play each time a stacked wild symbol appears on the reels during the free spins round. This feature resets the free spins count to 5 while retaining the ongoing multiplier, thereby significantly boosting potential winnings for the players.
