Gaming Corps, a publicly traded game development company headquartered in Sweden, has announced the release of Hyena Heist, the latest addition to its A-MAZE-CADES™ series. This game introduces players to an environment where a trio of laughing hyenas attempts a bank robbery, seeking to acquire bags of cash, bars of gold, and precious jewels. The gameplay unfolds on a 5×5 grid, reflecting a structure that is integral to the game’s mechanics.
Cascade mechanic
Central to Hyena Heist is the cascade mechanic characteristic of the A-MAZE-CADES™ series. Each time a winning combination appears, the corresponding symbols are removed from the grid. Non-winning symbols then traverse a maze-like path towards a designated exit position, after which new symbols enter from the right side to replenish the grid. This continuous process of removal and replenishment is designed to maintain a sense of ongoing potential for further wins, as the arrangement of symbols shifts with each cascade.
The game features three distinct hyena symbols—red, blue, and yellow. These symbols remain on the grid following a winning combination and, upon reaching the exit position, each hyena confers a unique bonus. The red hyena increases the cash pot by a value ranging from five to one thousand times the player’s total bet. The blue hyena applies a multiplier to the cash pot, with a maximum value of ten times. Meanwhile, the yellow hyena is programmed to collect all Cash Symbols present on the screen at that moment.

Hyena Heist also incorporates a progress bar, which is powered by consecutive cascade wins. As the bar fills, it can unlock various feature enhancements, such as the removal of low-value symbols or the formation of an X-shaped pattern that eliminates all symbols except for wilds, hyenas, and cash coins. Achieving eight consecutive cascades grants entry to the free spins feature. Within this mode, players are offered a choice: the reset cash pot, which provides six free spins with a new pot each round, or the Sticky Cash Pot, offering three Free Spins with a pot that accumulates and carries over between spins.
Additionally, the game includes a wild bomb feature, which can be triggered during any spin that does not result in a win. When activated, bomb symbols are placed on the grid, detonating adjacent icons and transforming themselves into wilds.
