Play’n GO has released the slot Wheel of Mictlan, a 5×3, 10-payline Aztec-themed game featuring wild flip mechanics and a bonus wheel. Players encounter the god of death Mictlantecuhtli, who grows to full size when the bonus wheel triggers.

Key features
The wild symbol substitutes for all symbols except scatter and bonus. When two or more wilds land, the wild flip feature triggers, giving each wild a 50% chance to expand into a full-reel expanded wild. Bonus symbols have a chance to trigger the bonus wheel, with three guaranteeing it. Bonus symbols also act as wilds and may grow the cosmetic god of death. Specifications include a default RTP of 96.2% (with additional options of 94.2%, 91.2%, 87.2%, and 84.2%), high volatility (8/10), and a maximum win of 40,000x.

Bonus wheel
The bonus wheel randomly awards one of four prize types: multipliers from 2x to 100x applied to all wins; instant prizes from 8x to 200x; free spins of 5 to 20; or a cashpot minigame awarding 1,000x, 2,500x, or 5,000x. During free spins, the wild flip triggers with just one wild, and the bonus wheel can still award additional spins. Three scatters during the round add 10 more spins, up to a maximum of 140.

Magnus Wallentin, Games Ambassador at Play’n GO, said:
With Wheel of Mictlan, we wanted the temple to feel present – not just as a backdrop, but as a storyteller.
The wheel, the guardians, and Mictlantecuhtli all work together to build tension, theatre, and a world players can’t ignore.”
