Like several other big operators, NetEnt make a move for the Spanish online market

The Maltese-regulated software company NetEnt has been granted a Spanish gaming license by the Directorate General for the Regulation of Gambling.

The license will allow NetEnt to provide casino software to operators in the Spanish market. This follows a change in laws around online slots in Spain, allowing casinos to offer real-money wagering on these types of games.

Commenting on the licensing NetEnt CEO Per Eriksson said, “This is an important step for NetEnt and a fine example of our ability to deliver on our growth strategy to expand in regulated markets. Spain is a promising online gaming market with great opportunities for NetEnt.”

NetEnt’s announcement follows news yesterday that Playtech will start supplying several Spanish casino operators with slot games this week.
