Wild Spells slot summary
Wilds Spells slot takes us into the fantasy world of a mountainous kingdom over which our reels sit and where we see a mysterious trio of beautiful sorceresses, accompanied by gentle but spooky music as we play. I am rarely disappointed with Pragmatic's games with Caishen's Gold and Wild Gladiators being among my favourites although here we do have some influence from Nextgen's Medusa 2 it would appear. On the reels...
There are 25 paying lines on Wild Spell which are over 5 reels of 3 rows each with the Wilds and Sorceresses stacked, but not the lower-paying symbols. Our Wild is in the form of a Black Cat wearing a pentagram collar and which only appears on the last 4 reels. The three Sorceresses are Fire, Ice and Nature paying 8, 5 and 4x bet respectively for a 5-of-a-kind win. You'll see a Candle, Potion Bottle and Spell Book paying 60 coins each for our 25-coin stake and six card values awarding 40 or 30 coins for the full line. The Sorceresses all pay for 2-of-a-kind too although only 3 coins per line. When the Wilds or Sorceresses land fully-stacked and form part of a win we get a nice full-height animation to enjoy, and we should see more of that in the bonus!
Crystal ball bonus
You need to land a Crystal Ball on reels 1, 3 and 5 to trigger a free games round where you receive 3 choices of volatility. You can opt for 20 spins where the green Nature Sorceress counts as Wild on reels 2 to 5, 10 spins where she is joined by the Ice Sorceress and finally 5 spins where all three count as Wilds on those last four reels. You still get the Black Cat Wilds and you can retrigger your choice too.
Internal Jackpots work like this: If you see 3 consecutive reels of any mixed stacked Sorceresses from right-to-left there is a Minor Jackpot of 50x bet, 4 consecutive reels pays the Major at 200x bet and finally a full screen of all 5 reels gets you the Grand Jackpot of 1250x stake, but this does not apply during the free games.
Our View...
Wild Spells slot has an eye-catching theme and design with flashy animations along with a soundtrack that is never intrusive. The RTP is equally good at 96.40% but the volatility is quite low; the highest base-game or free spins pay is only 200x bet for a full screen of Fire Sorceress and you'd need the Grand Jackpot for a really big hit. That said, the free games arrive quite frequently to keep the balance topped up although you'll seldom see much more than 50x bet whichever of the three options you select. These Wilds won't spell riches for you, but won't leave you penniless either...
