NoLimit City, a well-known developer of slot games featuring edgy titles, has recently launched the highly anticipated sequel, San Quentin 2: Death Row. This new slot game, themed around a prison setting, offers players a glimpse into the fear and desperation experienced by inmates as they await their fate.

Insane volatility
San Quentin 2: Death Row is a feature-rich slot game designed to provide players with an engaging gaming experience. The game offers ‘insane’ levels of volatility, with rewards that can fluctuate dramatically as players spin the reels.
Enhancer Cells
One of the key features of San Quentin 2: Death Row is the presence of Enhancer Cells located at the top and bottom of each reel. These locked positions can reveal one of the five top-paying symbols, a Wild symbol, a Razor Split symbol, or an xWays® symbol when triggered. The Razor Split symbol has the ability to split all symbols on a reel, doubling their positions.

If the Razor Split symbol lands on both the top and bottom Enhancer Cells of a reel, it will split them twice. Additionally, if the Razor Split symbol splits the Bonus symbol on a reel, the Bonus symbol transforms into Wilds and splits its row accordingly. The xWays® symbols reveal the same regular paying symbols and are stacked five high. When xWays® symbols appear on both active Enhancer Cells of a reel, the entire reel will be covered by ten single Wilds.

Green Mile Spins
Another notable feature of the game is the Green Mile Spins, which are triggered by landing 3, 4, or 5 Bonus symbols. This feature awards players with 1, 2, or 3 starting Jumping Wilds, respectively. Players have the option to draw an additional Jumping Wild before the Green Mile Spins start or collect the Jumping Wilds already awarded. The maximum number of Jumping Wilds that can be obtained is 5. The number of Jumping Wilds determines the number of reels with active Enhancer Cells during the Green Mile Spins, ranging from 3 to 5 reels.

Additionally, players have the option to use the Nolimit Bonus Buy feature, which allows them to purchase access to different bonus features at a cost ranging from 100 to 2,500 times the base bet.
San Quentin 2: Death Row is scheduled for release on 24th September 2024 and will be available wherever NoLimit City slot games are offered.

Review Overview
Summary
San Quentin 2 Death Row brings us back to the confined world of Beefy and Soapy with the gritty prison theme and all the innuendos. There are 1024-ways here over 5 reels of 4 rows with the 5-of-a-kinds paying 2 down to 0.2x and the usual NLC modifiers like xWays where symbols can expand up to 5 rows each, the cells at the top and bottom which offer the modifiers like extra Wilds, razor blade doubling multipliers for Wilds and again the xWays. A nice touch is that when landing 1 or 2 scatters, the cells open up above and below the reels for modifiers guaranteed, an xWays both below and above the reel will make it 10 Wilds high. A split Wild can also land with doubled positions but as usual it's the bonus that matters. Three, 4 or 5 scatters earns the Green Mile spins. This is where a floating Wild occurs during your 8 spins, 2 or 3 floating Wilds for the 4 and 5-scatters trigger respectively. You can gamble for another Wild up to the best possible feature with 5 floating Wilds, two of them starting at 2x. You lose 5 spins from your 8 the moment you lose though, killing the bonus potential. The razor blade multiplier doubler for the Wilds is important here as they can go to 512x and are multiplicative! You also get a random prisoner symbol with a multiplier of 5 to 15x before you begin, get these over 5 reels for big prizes. You could end your sentence on death row or with a maximum win of 200,000x bet here.
