Red Dragon slot review

Red Dragon mobile slotNothing to do with the first book in Thomas Harris’ series featuring Hannibal Lecter, Red Dragon nevertheless has everything to do with the legend that was Bruce Lee. In fact, if this 5 reel, 50 payline mobile slot looks slightly familiar, that’s because the game was originally called...Bruce Lee in a previous incarnation.

Rebooted for Mobile
Repackaged and rebooted, Red Dragon from slots developer Blueprint Gaming still maintains all the great features of its previous life and it’s been faithfully transplanted to the mobile format. The first things you’ll notice are the big Autoplay and Spin buttons on-screen (no more delving into cumbersome drop-down menus to find the button you need) plus there’s a handy bet adjuster and the info button for paytables close at finger too.

Across the Reels...
Everything else, other than the name, is how you were with this mobile version - here, it’s a straight 50 paylines, and they’re fixed too. On the reels we get some basic Chinese-style symbols like throwing stars and nunchakus, plus a Yin/Yang symbol and some Oriental-styled 10-through-Ace symbols. There are also Stacked Snake icons on each reel.

Trigger 15 Free Spins with Stacked Wilds
The Bruce Lee ninja is Wild and he substitutes for all symbols except the Red Dragon Scatter. That Scatter awards free spins if you land three symbols on reels 1, 2 and 3. 15 freebies are yours and during the bonus round the Wilds come stacked on reels 2-5.

Enter the Dragon to Win up to 500 Free Spins!
But there’s a further extra feature – the Enter the Dragon Bonus – when you hit three Enter the Dragon Scatters on reels 1, 2 and 3. Hit this and you’ll earn a locked free spins round until a maximum of 500 spins are earned or the Dragon Scatter appears again on reel 3.

Our View...
Faithful mobile transitions from online cousins are everywhere at the moment, and it’s nice to see one featuring the master cropping up on tablets and phones. For more Oriental madness on the go, check out the Martial Arts-themed Ninja Fruits from Play'n Go with its nice little free spins bonus round, while Blueprint’s own gambling-themed 3 Lions slot is great for those seeking some sports-related fun.
