Super Diamond Deluxe slot review
Super Diamond Deluxe is a jewel-themed mobile slot from developer Blueprint Gaming. As the name implies, this game is packed full of diamonds - in a variety of colours that could be mistaken for other gem stones. Despite the symbols being quite big, this slot is a little tricky to make out clearly on a smart phone, although mine is on the smaller side. There is a jackpot linked with this particular slot, with the total clear and visible above the reels.
On the Reels...
Across the reels we get 10-through-Ace symbols, plenty of coloured jewels like an emerald, ruby, jewel and diamond. The top jackpot is 5,000x top line bet, so at the maximum betting line bet of $2 this is a $10,000 jackpot – however, you will have to fill the entire reels with diamonds to bag this. Symbols are stacked in the base game, so you do get lots of regular big wins.
Bet Big to Win the Progressive Jackpot
There are no bonus rounds to be had in Super Diamond Deluxe, but there is a progressive jackpot to be won if you turn the reels all gold. This slot offers a dazzling progressive jackpot! The higher you stake, the higher chance you have of winning. The progressive jackpot is available during the game from any feature that you are awarded and is won by turning all five reels gold.
Simple but Effective
With 10 fixed paylines this slot is perfect for the mobile gamers. It’s simple – just fire up the smartphone and away you go. But a really unintuitive interface from Blueprint ruins this – it looks shabby, the bonus games are non-existent and the progressive jackpot is only available to the bigger bets.
After eventually finding a casino that carried the game, I found the reels awful to look at on my Android screen – the graphics were incredibly hazy and everything looked stretched. And as sounds go there’s not that much on offer other than some jerky casino-style FX when the reels spin. That said, there is a neat ‘Swipe to Spin’ function which means you don’t have to rely on the big Spin button on the right-hand side; simply swipe your finger down the screen to start spinning. As somebody with awkward finger co-ordination and digits that one might consider to be slightly larger than the norm, I found this a comforting feature.
Apart from that there’s not really anything to recommend it to the casual gamer, so if you like jewel-themed slots then I would suggest slots like Cayetano’s original and high-octane mobile slot, Diamond Dice. Otherwise, the tried-and-trusted Da Vinci Diamonds, the jewel-themed mobile slot from IGT, is an excellent alternative.
