Anubis Wild Megaways slot is Inspired Gaming's second use of the license and takes us back to ancient Egypt. Not the first time though for this mechanic when we consider Blueprint Gaming's Eye of Horus Megaways and a highly volatile game from the same developer, Legacy of Ra Megaways. I would consider the hugely volatile Queen of Riches by Big Time Gaming to be the first Egypt-themed Megaways though. Here we simply have a torchlit tomb behind the papyrus reels and some spooky faint music as we play but the overall effect is good. So can we raid this tomb to the benefit of our bankroll?
On The Reels...
We have the standard 324 to 117,649 ways by way of 6 reels with 2-7 random rows on each and a scrolling reel of 4 symbols above the centre four. The symbols are stacked and single on Anubis Wild Megaways slot with winning tiles replaced by new ones from above on each column. Anubis Wilds appear only singly on the top scroll and Pyramid scatters on all six. The 6-of-a-kind pays are identical to those of Bonanza with the highest being 50x for the Eye of Horus, Pharaoh Mask 7.5x, Cleopatra or Scarab 2x with six card values of 1.75 down to 0.8x for a full way of 6. You get random Mystery symbols too which will transform to the same tile except Wild or scatters.
Free Games...
In these the Wilds appear on reels 2 to 5 but now not in the scrolling reel. You need 3 Pyramid scatters for 12 free games and you get 2 extra for each scatter over the 3, up to a maximum of 82 spins. No increasing multiplier though as what we have is Sticky Wilds. Each appearing drops to the bottom of the column and will remain in place for the duration. When the first appears it will also lock the reel's amount of rows in place too, so hope they land first when there's 5 or more rows! If you fill a whole reel, you get extra spins at 1 for each row on the locked reel. You can also gamble your free games at the outset as with Extra Chilli. There is some high potential here in these free games!
Our View...
Anubis Wild Megaways slot is actually a decent game despite the basic appearance, symbols and sound effects. The RTP is nothing great at 95.90% but this ranges from 95.81 to 95.95% if using the pie chart segmented free games gamble. If you get Wilds locked in on the 4 centre reels you can get some pretty juicy wins and more rarely, if you fill a reel or two with them. Your feature seems to be more easily triggered than with say Bonanza or Diamond mine and it's quite fun. This is a rare Megaways of late that's actually worth playing...
