Wildcraft slot summary
Wildcraft slot by Kalamba Games is thankfully not a Megaways game after their pretty mundane attempt at that mechanic with Machina, which along with Joker 3600 had that tedious jackpot feature in the bonus. You still get these jackpots but here they work like the betting slip on Scudamore's Super Stakes from Netent as we shall learn in due course. The theme here is medieval fantasy with a dark broken forest behind our grid and classical music to listen to before the clash of swords as the reels stop. On The Reels...
There is a stepped configuration here on Wildcraft slot with the 5 reels having a 3-4-3-4-3 pattern with 60 fixed pay lines. Wilds can appear stacked on all of them and other icons are single with the typically low 5-of-a-kind pays as usual from Kalamba. You pay 60-coins per play and the Wild pays 500, Wizard or Troll 125, Girl Archer or Snake Girl 100 with 6 different colour Potion Bottles all paying 50 for a full line. No random modifiers here but there a couple of things of interest before we see the main bonus.
Wild Column Feature
You can land Gold Shields on the 3-row reels which will each illuminate one of the spaces above that reel. Once all 3 are collected, the reel is Wild for 3 spins.
Missions
You can still get those Platinum, Gold, Silver or Bronze fixed jackpots typical of Kalamba's slots, on Wildcraft. This time you choose the odds as I said earlier, which works in a similar way to the Betting Slip feature on Scudamore's Super Stakes slot. You can choose Bronze for the most likely success which is over 30 spins and if you see 45-59 Wilds you get 5x stake, right up to 50x bet if 150+ land in those 30 spins. Silver is over 50 spins with a top prize of 100x bet for getting 200+ Wilds. Gold is over 75 spins with up to 400x bet for 300+ Wilds and Platinum up to 1000x if you got 450+ Wilds in 100 spins. These missions can be saved and are free, your default setting is Bronze unless you change up to a more risky challenge!
Free Games
Cross Key scatters on the centre 3 reels will trigger 10 free games with +1 scatters added to reels 2 and 4 for extra spins. You get the Wild counters set to zero when you begin, but this time any Wild reels you create by landing 3 Shields on them become sticky for all remaining free games.
Our View...
Wildcraft slot is certainly colourful and looks the part with excellent sounds, graphics and animations and to be fair there is a lot going on for the player. The problem is that you have the hopelessly low win potential typical of this developer and yet again the only big wins possible are in the Gold and Platinum fixed jackpots which are almost impossible to hit. You have a big win animation for 10x which is silly and although the RTP is a decent 95.41-96.21% this game will simply have the egg-timer effect on your bankroll due to the maths. The free spins are poor because even with a couple of Wild reels built up, the dismal line pays ensure there's nothing to get excited about. If you like playing for the sake of it, Wildcraft is certainly the game for you as it's entertaining - just don't expect it...
