Background
Whilst waiting for the game to load you are greeted with the message: "Journey through Dante’s underworld to the foot of mount purgatory and ultimately, the path to paradise." The theme, as the title suggests, is based on Dante Alighieri’s 14-century epic poem Divine Comedy. The game itself portrays elements of Dante’s journey through the Afterlife, with backgrounds, symbols and iconography from his famous story. The eerie sound track sets the scene, as you venture into this inferno is search of rich rewards.
The game
The slot game itself has 5 reels, 3 rows and 20 fixed paylines. It features an exciting base game called ‘Hell Freezes Over’, where up to 5 Wild reels can occur at random in a single spin. There is also a choice of 3 free spins bonus features if you are successful in triggering it.
