Eye of the Storm slot review

eye of the storm slot gameEye of the Storm slot by Reel Kingdom is a highly volatile game themed on the ancient Egypt with the relevant desert drum music and the temples of Luxor in the background. Egypt is the most common theme for all slots and these range from the old IGT classic Cleopatra slot, through the infamous Novomatic Book of Ra slot series to the latter day Megaways games such as Legacy of Ra slot. So can we have a storming result for our bankroll here or will is be a case of one in the eye for our cash?

On the reels...

The fact we only have 10 pay lines over our 5 reels of 3 rows each tells us the pays will likely be high on Eye of the Storm slot. Eye of Horus at 50x bet is the best 5-of-a-kind, then Leopard 40x, Ra 30x, Scarab 25x, Ankh or Jewel 20x with four card values at 10x each. Pyramid scatters appear on all 5 reels and Cleopatra is the Wild on the centre 3 reels which will expand if able to form a win. No modifiers, so straight to the bonus.

Free Spins

You will earn 12 free spins which can retrigger. You can rise up through levels which eliminate the picture symbols one by one. To do this, you need a Wild which adds 2 spins and rises you up one level. Land 2 Wilds to rise 2 levels and add 3 extra spins or all 3 Wilds to add 5 extra spins and rise 3 levels. There are 5 levels in total and completing them all means that all your picture symbols on the reels would be the highest, the 50x bet Eye of Horus. Then you may see some of the big-win potential here.

Our View...

Eye of the Storm slot has a great 96.71% RTP but is pretty drab in appearance and animations otherwise. It's hard to hit decent wins in the base game unless getting 2 or 3 expanded Wilds and these aren't too frequent themselves.  The same goes for the hard-to-trigger bonus, although I observed the Wilds seemed slightly more common here as the reels are different. The symbol upgrade thing is old hat now and for that reason I can't say there's anything new or revolutionary here. A storm in a teacup is my conclusion regarding this slot...
