Crazy Genie slot takes us from Red Tiger’s usual Far Eastern themes to the Middle East as we embark upon a journey by magic carpet in our quest to unbottle this benevolent spirit. We have our game set over a backdrop of a bazaar with the magic lamp and hints of treasure in the foreground and play to mystic music but alas there is no Belly Dancer to brighten our view! Nevermind, because it’s the Genie that matters here so what can the three wishes do for our bankroll if we’re fortunate enough to win his favour? On the reels… Unlike Microgaming’s volatile 5-liner Genie’s Gems or Nextgen’s 25-line Genie Wild we have 20 paying lines here over 5 reels of 3 rows each. Red Tiger have given us the usual stacked symbols including the Wilds on all reels which award a table-topping 15x bet for a 5-of-a-kind win as does the Genie’s Treasure, the Cobra 10x, Magic Carpet 7.5x, Genie’s Hand 5x with five card values at 4 down to 1.5x for the full line. It wouldn’t be Red Tiger if we didn’t get a selection of features and these can be triggered with either Magic Lamp scatters on reels 2, 3 and 4 or randomly when the Crazy Genie swirls into view across the reels! Crazy Bonus games If you get the 3 scatters in view then a wheel will spin to decide which of the 5 bonus possibilities are awarded you, or the Crazy Genie may decide on any spin to appear and grant you one. You can receive: Gold Bonus – six bonus spins with the reels populated by Gold Coins to make some high pays possible. Gift Bonus – the Genie grows 10 arms all offering a gold coin, you pick until hitting a stop and win cash amounts. Treasure Bonus – the Genie allows you access to his vault of treasures and again you pick items to win cash. Lamp Bonus – rub the Golden Lamp to win a significant cash award. Oasis Bonus – no, Liam Gallagher doesn’t appear from the lamp but the Genie turns Spanish and hits the Golden Lamp Pinata so that coins spill from the bottom accumulating cash prizes. Our View… Crazy Genie slot does follow the typical Red Tiger formula of stacked symbols and multiple features with random triggers possible, but why change something that works? We get a decent 95.12% RTP with the graphics, sounds and effects well thought out too alongside decent base game win potential with frequent appearances of the Genie. As with all games of this format it can be frustrating getting the bonus you don’t want instead of the one with bigger possible returns and that’s the only drawback of an otherwise good game. I’ll be returning one day to rub that lamp again…
