Ancients' Blessing slot by Red Tiger is a simple game and alas a disappointing one from the outset. Your theme is ancient demons and mythical monsters with dark music and sound effects so appearance wise, all is well. The mechanic, as we'll see, it pretty much based on Thunderkick's Barber Shop Uncut slot or if you are familiar with Netent's Jack Hammer or the improved Jack Hammer 2 slot, you'll certainly recognize the commonalities here. So can we get a blessing for our bankroll here or will it soon become ancient history?
On the reels...
You begin with 30 pay lines over 5 reels of 4 rows with stacked symbols on Ancients' Blessing slot. The fact we get no Wilds or scatters tells us the game has little to offer aside from 2 in-play modifiers. The symbol pays for 5-of-a-kind are shockingly poor but can be multiplied, 2.5x bet for Red Monster, 2x lion, 1.9x Medusa, 1.6x Panther, 1.4x Rat Demon with four card suits at 1.2 down to 0.6x bet. It's hardly worth starting a 'features' paragraph as I could sum them up in three lines here, but I will.
Modifiers
Locked Ancients - any picture symbol win will lock in place and your next spin is paid, but will be at 2x multiplier if any further winning symbols are added. This continues every time another symbol is added, with the multiplier increasing 1x each time for each paid spin resulting in an improved win.
Ancient Supremacy - randomly, the card values burn off the reels and are replaced by picture symbols, hopefully creating a win which will be a good start to the above Locked Ancients feature.
Our View...
Ancients' Blessing slot has a RTP of 95.72% and you seem to wait a long time for picture wins to land and trigger the Locked Ancients modifier. The overall look is alright as are the animations and sounds, but it is a real dirge to play for any length of time. That said, when the feature starts and the symbols are added just one at a time, the multiplier can get quite high and remembering at that stage you would have built up quite a few 4 or 5OAK combos, it can pay surprisingly well over a series of spins. It's just that waiting for this to happen could make you feel like you've become ancient afterwards...
