Free Valley of The Gods slot
Please be patient, some games take longer to load than others!
Valley of The Gods slot keeps up the tradition of Yggdrasil games, rarely being a disappointment, even though it is unashamedly a pretty accurate hybrid of Netent's Reel Rush and Pyramid Quest games. Our slot is set over an ornate Egyptian temple guarded by a statue of a God either side and we hear the expected music that tends to form the soundtrack to any game of this theme but with bursts of sounds and effects when a win appears. There is a lot of treasure on the reels here but those Gods will not relinquish it easily, so how much could you leave this valley with?
On the reels...
Well, to say this game looks odd is an understatement, especially when I tell you what we actually haven't got - Wilds, scatters or pay lines! Not only that, but the reels when we begin are in a 1-3-5-3-1 formation paying 75 ways and the rest of the 5x5 grid is made of stone blocks, but don't worry we can remove them later.
We pay 25 coins per play and Ra or Horus pay 20x stake for a 5-of-a-kind win, the Pharaoh or Sphinx 10x, the jewelled Eye Of Horus or Bird 1.6x, Snake or Cat 1.2x and finally Ankh or Amulet 1x for a full line. Icons appear stacked up to 3 rows high on all reels, so how do we make 75 ways in 3125 ways?
On all spins any win will incur a free re-spin. Now every symbol involved in the winning combination(s) will knock away one of the 12 stone blocks surrounding the reels and increase the ways available for the next spin. You will always make the first reel from one to at least 2 rows on the initial win. If the symbols are stacked you can clear the whole 12 blocks in 2 spins, but it's usually three or four. Now you trigger the bonus round and play on a full 5x5 3125-way grid.
Once in the bonus, the left side statue will have a 2x multiplier showing a blue icon. On the right, that statue has a number of extra lives, usually 2. All the icons on the reels are overlaid with either Blue or Red Scarabs and when involved in winning combinations, every 5 blue will add 1x to the multiplier God and every 5 red an extra life to the Life God on the right. There is no limit on either count and the extra life is basically a re-spin after a losing combination and you spin until no lives are left. There is some big win potential here for example any of the best two icons stacked twice on all 5 reels would yield 640x bet and then be multiplied at least twice!
Valley of The Gods slot is a superb mixing of the two other game ideas as mentioned above, which have then been improved upon. The graphics, sounds and animations are good along with the 96.20% RTP and we have some potential for large wins although the volatility is likely low-medium here. Unlike many slots with cumulatively-triggered features, such as Elements for example, Valley of The Gods is quite frequent with the bonus although it can be over correspondingly quick sometimes. Whatever riches you can leave this promised land with, it'll be fun along the way...
