Avatars slot summary
Avatars slot by Yggdrasil or to give it its full name Avatars Gateway Guardians, is a rotary slot with a very different appearance than most games you'll have played. The stone wheel lies in a foggy world of abandoned stone idols, almost Easter Island meets Stonehenge with atmospheric music and powerful rock grinding sounds as we play. The only games we can really compare it with are their own Wild Mantra slot or maybe Play'n Go's Wild Rails but even those resemble standard slots more than this. So will these Avatars be the gateway to a huge bankroll or will the guardians prevail?
On The Reels...
You begin with 3 orbital reels of 6 segments each and to win, each of the the 3 reels must line the same segment up. So you get only 3-of-a-kind wins on any of 6 lines which are 40x bet for the Red Gargoyle, 20x Purple, 10x Green and 5x Blue. The 4 Gargoyles are the highest, there are 3 basic Orb symbols which match the lowest 3 in colour as the low pays and they are 2x stake Purple Orb and 1x either Green or Blue. There are random Free Spin segments too but no Wilds.
Hot Spot
Any win landing in the highlighted Hot Spot segment of the 6 will be placed on a multiplier climber below the grid where it rises in increments of between 1 and 20x until it stops on COLLECT or after a maximum of 5 additions. You can get up to 101x for your win before the climber stops.
Free Games
Depending on where your 3 Free Spin tiles land, these can be better or worse. Ideally you want all your 3 free spin tiles to land in the Hot Spot segment. You will play the 10 free spins with 8 segments now instead of 6. If 0 triggering Free Spin tiles land in the Hot Spot, you get 2 Hot Spot segments of the 8 in the free spins. If 1 lands, you get 4 of the 8 segments as Hot Spots, 2 will get you 6 Hot Spots and all 3 would make the whole wheel of 8 segments a Hot Spot! You cannot retrigger them.
Our View...
Avatars slot is very volatile with a low win frequency and a 96.30% RTP. The game looks good, sounds great but may take a seasoned slots player some getting used to. The Hot Spot feature appears less often that you'd like and rarely awards over 10x in multipliers even though theoretically you could get the 40x top pay on a 101x multiplier, but dream on! The free spins aren't too hard to trigger but again, low win frequency means usually one or two goes on the Hot Shot climber which will invariably be a low Orb win with less than 10x achieved. Let's just say the gateway to riches for you is very well guarded here...
