Multifly slot summary
Multifly slot by Yggdrasil has a jungle theme and opens to some funky native drum music and bird sounds to make the scene. This seems to be a quirky game with some high potential and isn't as serious in appearance as Netent's Jungle Spirit but then again isn't as juvenile as Microgaming's awful Jungle Jim El Dorado effort. In fact, Yggrasil's own Jungle Books was a pretty good slot and this may be a game to rival that for fun and the chance of big wins. So will Multifly be able to multiply our bankroll here?
On The Reels...
We get 243-ways to win on Multifly slot therefore 5 reels of 3 rows each. The symbols cascade in as single tiles and are removed if they form wins, similar to most Megaways slots which also means 2 or more are possible on the same reel. The 5-of-a-kind pays are Parrot 4x bet, Toucan 3x, Frog or Lizard 2x with six card values paying from 1.5x down to 0.6x for a full way. You can get single Wilds on any reel and the Chameleon scatters only appear on the centre 3 reels but we get one nice in-play modifier!
Extra Wilds
Any win will create a Wild from one of its tiles which remains on the grid for a re-spin. This becomes then a 2x reel which will be signified at the top of the reel by the lizard above it. Should you get another win, this Wild disappears when used and another Wild is created for the next re-spin and so-on. Any Wilds landing in this series of re-spins increase the multiplier above the reel by 1x and so any subsequent wins going through that reel get the multiplier(s) which are also multiplicative of each other.
Free Games
You need the 3 Chameleon scatters on reels 2, 3 and 4. You cannot retrigger these 10 free spins but any multipliers are carried over from the triggering spin and as you may have guessed, reel multipliers are not reset between spin in the bonus and continue to accumulate. We are told 10,000x if feasible here!
Our View...
Multifly slot is certainly fun in a light-hearted way with smooth actions, slightly grating sound effects and decent enough animations. You don't often see big wins in the base game although the potential for them is there, it's really all about the bonus to get the most of this 96.30% RTP. Now the feature can be very rewarding if you keep landing small wins at the start as there is no limit to the multiplier for each reel that can be accumulated. This is how the maximum 4x 5OAK can turn into something very big and I'd say much of the RTP is allocated to the free games. If you're prepared to sit out a declining bankroll and wait for the feature, you could be lucky here...
