The online gaming site CasinoLand has just released details of a big winner on the Mega Moolah jackpot slot. A 27-year-old called Rawiri Pou from Matamata, New Zealand pocketed a whopping €6,355,463 ($7,084,870 or £5,321,318) on the extremely popular Microgaming jackpot slot.
The huge win took place on June 17, 2016 and according to Rawiri had only occurred due to an earlier piece of fortune. The young player, who up until recently had been working in KFC, managed to pocket a smaller win of €1500. Tempted to cash out his win Rawiri considered withdrawing the sum. However, like a lot gamblers, he felt his luck was running good and decided to play on some more. That decision led to the biggest win of his life as he first hit the bonus wheel on Mega Moolah and then proceeded all the way to the center for the jackpot win.
Speaking of his epic win, Rawiri said:”I still can’t believe this is real, I’ve been in shock since I won and it is literally going to change my life. There is so much I want to do with this money and it couldn’t have come at a better time. My family are overwhelmed and so happy.”
