Gaming partners of Playtech were informed this morning that their whole Marvel series of slots will be removed from all online casinos by the end of March and replaced with something else. The decision follows an announcement back in 2013 that Marvel’s parent company, Disney, had decided not to renew the Marvel licensing deal with Playtech due to concerns over the image of the company making money from gambling products.
Playtech have decided not to waste the game engines from the Marvel series of slots and will re-use them with different characters and themes. Almost all of the Marvel slots will be turned into Age of Gods slots, presumably to keep those players happy that play the Marvel slots regularly at present.
The replacement slots will be as follows:
Iron Man 2 – Age of the Gods: King of Olympus
The Incredible Hulk – Age of the Gods Prince of Olympus
Fantastic Four – Age of the Gods Furious Four
The Avengers – Age of the Gods
Elektra – Age of the Gods Goddess of Wisdom
If you enjoy Marvel slots then you only have a week left to enjoy them before they are turned into an Age of the Gods slot. However, if you enjoy the games, but are not fussed about the themes then you should have nothing to worry about.
