Last year Gamingslots sat down with Slots entertainer and Youtube megastar, Brian Christopher for the first time. A year has passed since that first meeting, and our team were fortunate enough to speak again with Brian and find out what he is up to now.
Our catch up was at ICE in Barcelona, Brian is on the road and meeting partners in Europe before heading back to The States for an intense schedule of filming, travel, and entertaining.
Listen to the full interview with Brian Christopher below:
We get straight into a conversation, starting with the fact that Brian’s BC Slots channel is now coming up to it’s 10th anniversary!

Gamingslots: Your BCSlots channel is now coming up to its 10th year, or in its 10th year now, what’s the biggest thing you’ve learned about what audience actually want from you and the slots content that you produce?
Brian Christopher: Yeah? So I’d say the the audience has changed over the years, as have all the social media platforms. In the very beginning for us, it was all about, the longer the content, the better and now people are really liking the bite-sized content a lot more. And so that’s why YouTube is pushing their shorts, Instagram and Facebook with their reels. And I think it’s probably TikTok that really set the way for the short form.
I open up to them 100%, they know everything about me.
People just want to get into the action, right away. Swipe through it and keep on moving. That’s why we put a lot more energy into our short form content. Now, we still do stick with long form, but it’s in different forms now too, because Facebook, for example, they have de-prioritized live streams, which is long form. Also they are prioritizing vertical videos, even our long form content, which is 30 minutes long, we’re now having to edit that or re edit that into a vertical video. When on phones, people just like to swipe and find it and stick to it.
GS: And does that mean you are preparing more content outside of YouTube? So, putting stuff together for Facebook, or TikTok, and other channels?
BC: It’s more like re-editing it, fixing it different ways. But that does alter how we film it now, sure, we have to make sure we get certain angles that will work for both vertical and horizontal. And then for Tiktok, for example, they have deprioritized ‘gambling’, so far in the United States. And so for that platform, we’re showing more fun that we’re having on the cruises or in general.

GS: You’ve built really loyal community, what do you think turns a casual viewer that’s just finding you for the first time into a dedicated ‘Rudie’?
BC: So ‘Rudie’ is our fan club. I think really what it is, is they get to know who I am, and they learn that we on our channel are all about fun and positivity and realness. We definitely focus on being authentic, and that’s what people like and look for. They don’t want to have a talking head, just talking to them and telling them what to do.
So everything I do – we play with our own money, and we have fun. I open up to them 100%, they know everything about me. And the number one comment we get is, “I feel like I’m sitting there right with you.” Then, as soon as I meet them at a meet-and-greet they say: “I feel like you’re my best friend”. But I’m thinking you don’t even know who I am. It’s weird for them, because they just they want to give me a hug and be like: “Hey, what’s up, man?” and “Let’s go have a drink.”
We definitely focus on being authentic, and that’s what people like and look for. They don’t want to have a talking head.
GS: And it’s probably weird for you I guess.
BC: I’m used to it now. At the very beginning it was very weird, because they would start quoting off, like, oh; “How was your trip to whatever?” And I’m like, How did you know that? I forget that I riff all of these things in my shows, and they know everything about it, and so I think that really makes them feel a part of it. And we are so community focused, so we do so many events geared towards them, to bring people together. And people love that togetherness.
GS: You’ve done everything from long form sessions, to live streams, to shorts, what tends to be the hardest format to get right and why?
BC: It probably is the shorts. For me, I’ve been doing long form forever. For shorts, you have to capture their attention within three seconds, or they’re gone, even with a still image at the very beginning, you know as soon as they swipe through, if nothing touches their eye immediately, they will keep on going.
So we are learning what works and what doesn’t, it is difficult. In our world, you know, with gambling, they want excitement, they want big cash, and they want jackpots. It’s hard to deliver that every single time. So that’s been the most challenging thing – to capture their attention, but not guarantee a massive jackpot. Maybe, you know, because I’ll go broke if I have to give them a massive jackpot every single video [laughs].

GS: Do you find that if you are going through a leaner patch with wins that there can be a little bit of drop off in audience [views].
BC: Oh yeah, there’ll be a drop off sometimes, but that’s why we’re always authentic. We’ll show the ups and the downs, and we just try and keep it exciting all the way through. And, we do big bets, so that is exciting.
I’m finding myself over time starting to lower my bets a little bit now too, because a lot of the bigger channels that have come through the last couple years, multi multi millionaires that are just throwing money at a wall, it’s no longer fun. I don’t find that too exciting, and people are not relating to it as much. And so I try and give them a good mix, because everybody wants something different. And so I will lower some bets. Sometimes show them a $3 or $5 bet, and then throw a $100 bet in there
GS: Your ‘Betting $1 million to win $1 million” is catching a lot of attention right now. For those who don’t know about it, could you explain what it is?
So every day for 100 days, I am gambling $10,000!
BC: Yeah, so we’re literally betting a million dollars to win a million dollars. That’s the name of the series, and it is what it is.

Literally the goal is to break even. So betting a million to win a million. So every day for 100 days, I am gambling $10,000 on a short video. So, in less than three minutes, I am gambling $10,000. On one game, I keep playing until either I go broke or I hit a jackpot. So the jackpot limit was $12k it just got increased for us in the US to $20k that’ll change things a little bit, sure, but yeah, you just keep doing that until you hit that.
And every day, we keep a little bar the very bottom of the screen that shows our progress and how we’re doing. How much money we put in, how much money we’ve taken out. At the time we’re recording, we’re on day 64, of 100 and we’re doing pretty good. We’re only down around $30,000, which is pretty impressive, when you think about it. Day 64, that means we’ve gambled $640,000 so we’re only down like 5%, which is pretty good odds.
So far, so good. And what we’re doing to make it even more exciting is we’re only going to complete the first 90 days, and then we’re gonna see where we’re at. Then, in the final 10 days, we’re throwing in one big live stream where we gamble the final $100,000 to make up what we need to make. That’ll be on February 26, my birthday, which worked out perfectly with the timing.
We’ll go live a plaza casino in Vegas, five Pacific, eight Eastern, and it’ll probably be like a two hour livestream, I’m guessing, for those kind of bets.
GS: There’ll be probably a lot of anticipation for that.
BC: It’s exciting for me because I don’t know how it’s gonna end. Are we gonna be able to make a profit? I really hope so.
GS: I guess for people, even if they’ve tuned in halfway through, this is something for them to follow all the way to the end.
BC: 1,000,000%, and they can literally go back to our playlist and watch it. We’ve heard that a lot people find it in the middle, and say: “Oh, my God, I had to go back and watch it from the very beginning, because, there’s some really big wins.” We’ll have a few days where it’s like, you lose $10,000 or four days in a row, and then you hit a $40,000 jackpot out of nowhere.
GS: What do you think is the key to success of this series is? Is it the money involved? Are you tapping into something else with your audience?
BC: So, part of it is the money, I think. But we’re talking about our next series we’re going to do, we want to keep these things going, because they’re working really well for us. People are enjoying it. I’m thinking, like, let’s do a bet $100 to win $100. I think that could be exciting in itself.
It’s just fun for people to keep coming back each day to seeing the progress that we’re doing. So yeah, I might do betting $1000 to win $1000 betting or $10,000 to win $10,000. It doesn’t have to be the million. I don’t think that’s exactly why people are coming back, but it is exciting.
GS: Are there any content creators on YouTube or other platforms that you admire or aspire to, not necessarily the same genre. I’m thinking like Mr. Beast or PewDiePie, or Mark Rober the NASA guy, Any that you really like and you find yourself being drawn to.
BC: By far, it’s Mr. Beast – he is a genius. He’s so smart I want to get into that brain of his. I’m very jealous also, because, you know, he’ll create one video every two to four weeks! Granted, he’s pouring millions of dollars into these videos, and it takes a lot of prep work and over 100 staff. So granted there, but, you know, I wish I could afford the time and energy to put into one video myself as well.

He’s so smart with everything he does, and he’s very honest about how he works, because he doesn’t actually make money off of the videos on YouTube. Yeah, he does it at a loss, but then he makes his money back from selling his chocolate bars and his burger places and everything else. So he’s a huge entrepreneur.
I watch the first three seconds, I am hooked immediately
He knows what he’s doing. He’s very smart about it, and he knows how to get people’s eyes on his videos. So I don’t want to follow that lead by example. Let’s do it to lose money. Although, granted, I lose a lot of money,
I want to get inside his brain and find out, because he knows how the algorithm works. He doesn’t know how it works, but he figures it out, and he knows what captures people’s eyes, how to keep their attention from that. I watch the first three seconds, I am hooked immediately, and I need to learn from that a lot more.
GS: Would you ever consider collaborating with Mr Beast?
BC: I would love to do a video with him one time that would be amazing. We did talk to his team about a year ago or so about doing something, and they’re very focused on helping the community as well, which I love. And so he’s like, okay, it can’t just be two guys going out and gambling together. It’s got to be for the better good. And it’s hard to figure that out.
GS: A lot of people might assume creating content about slots is about waiting for the wins to arrive, and catching that moment. What part of your everyday would genuinely surprise people?
BC: I mean, it’d be surprising to them to learn that I’m not gambling non stop every day. I guess that’s what they think. And that’s that’s fine, that they think that. Some people have the illusion that I literally walk into a casino, film for 30 minutes and then go home, and then I just press record or play, and whatever, and then it [the video content] goes up.
But what they don’t see is the extra 80 hours it takes during the week to put everything together. And the team it takes to put things together. But we want it to look seamless. We don’t want it to look like a big production.

And one of our things that we do really well are group slot pots, where we bring a group of 30 people together. We all put money into one slot machine, and play through, and then we all split the winnings or the losses. Every time we do those at a casino, everyone that’s there is, like: “I had no idea how much work went into one of these things.”
They’re just floored, because they just think that people show up, you play, and you go home. They don’t see everything else that happens around you, like all the extra work. Then they are like: “wow, you guys have figured this out. Like, it works like a machine.
GS: You’ve played a lot of slots. What are some tell-tale signs that a game is either going to be good or bad? Obviously, producing wins is important. But what about vibes, pace, features, entertainment factor?
BC: Every slot machine will give you a jackpot, or can take all your money. So, for me, I’m looking for entertainment factor, because that’s what entertains me, which in turn, entertains my audience. So I’m always looking for the bright colors, a fun theme, something a little different, or maybe something familiar.
You know, if it’s another huff ‘n’ puff series, or something that we’ve already seen before. Or, it’s the newest one that’s exciting to our fans. I’m all about teaching our audience how the slots work as well, and so walking them through it gets them really involved in it to. Helps them understand how to play it, so that when they go to the casino, they know how to play that game, too. Because slots are very complicated these days, most people, my friends, that I’ll take the casino who don’t gamble, they don’t understand where you win. Like, how is that a win? Why isn’t that a win? It’s very complicated, so walking people through it really helps them.
From from where I sit, the mechanics of creating an amazing slot game is, it’s like a fine art. There’s a real skill to it. It’s not just something that someone creates a slot and it’s an instant winner, there’s something about it, and whether it’s the mechanics in it, the mathematics, or it’s the graphics, or the way that even, like, the reels just drop into place.
GS: You work with some major brands and platforms and you and how do you make sure your partnerships don’t change the authenticity of the content and the viewers that fell in love with what you create.
BC: One of our rules from the very beginning is we only do authentic plays, so all the money that goes in the machines is from me and our partners know that. And also, I’m not a talking head. They [our partners] can’t say: “Tell everybody this is the best cruise in the world.” or “We have the best steak house.” I’m not gonna say that.
They can give me talking points. And my contracts literally say Brian, may or may not say this. It’s very like, open. So I have full control, so I can actually be honest, and that’s what makes a good influencer. So I think that’s worked really well for us, through our partnerships with Carnival and others, and that’s been really good for us.
One thing we’ve done quite well is with our partner at BetMGM, I’m an ambassador for BetMGM, and we’ve introduced a thing called Bryan Christopher Bonus Drops. What that means is, while people are playing, if they go to the Brian Christopher bonus drops page, they can see all my favorite games that I play on BetMGM, and they’ve seen me play these games. Then, if they click through and play those games they have an opportunity to win a bonus drop. And these bonus drops can hit at any time.
Some of them must hit by $100 or must hit by $500. Some of them you win all the money. Other ones are, whoever’s playing that game at the time, they all split the money evenly. So really fun things to keep people coming back and playing those games.
GS: Last year we touched on your slots cruises, which were really popular and a big part of your channel. Do you have any coming up for 2026 and if so, what’s involved?
BC: Yes, we have eight cruises this year. We’ve been working with with our partner, Carnival for many years now. So we have six of our cruises with them. And Carnival Corporation also owns many other brands, including Princess Cruise Lines. So we’ve added in two Princess Cruises this year, which we’re very excited about. One of them is going through Europe into the Greek Isles, and another one goes to Alaska, two amazing destinations that our fans are really excited about. I’m really excited about it too, as I’ve never been to Alaska myself. So I’m looking forward to doing that.

Much like what we do with carnival, we have an offer match program with Princess, where, if people have high tier cards, say at a casino or actual cruise offers already, then they can join our offer match program with Princess on our website, on BCslots.com where they can fill out the form and upload those offers or those high tier cards. Then Princess will give them an offer for our cruise, which could be a discounted cruise. We can get offer them free drinks or free play, up to a free cruise, which is pretty great.
GS: So 10 years of BC slots, it’s been probably quite a journey for you. Could you pick out what reminds you every day of why you love doing what you do.
BC: I love gambling. No, I’m joking.
Ever since I was a kid, I wanted to be an actor, and I wanted to entertain people. I did it from the age of 11 all through college, and that’s what brought me to Los Angeles eventually. And doing what I do is essentially the same thing. It allows me to entertain the masses, probably better than I would have been doing, because I was doing theater and some TV stuff. Now I’m able to reach a different audience that didn’t exist before.
And we’ve built such an amazing community that for me, I can’t let go of that. And it’s so special to being able to to reach that audience. Honestly, when you break it down, I’m just playing slots. That’s the way it is to me. But to them, it’s a whole lot more. Because they do get to know us, and we are there for them, and we bring them into our home. And for me, that’s everything. That is what has kept us going, and that’s what will keep propelling us forward, is creating the content. I know it sounds funny to say, but I like I do it for us, honestly, is what it really feels like.
Ever since I was a kid, I wanted to be an actor, and I wanted to entertain people.
GS: Last year, when we talked, you touched on something you do care about, which is obviously trying to get rid of smoking in casinos. Have you noticed anything change in the industry? And has any of the work you’ve been doing helped make changes?
BC: Once again, it’s going through legislature in many places. It’s back on the floor in New Jersey. Hopefully they can do something with that this time.
Our fans are demanding it on Carnival, for example, and even on Princess Cruises. They have learned that people are wanting smoke free. In some cases, they are adding separate smoke free casinos or their creating a separate smoking facility
They need a bigger room for non smokers. So it’s slowly getting there, as we convince owners that this is what people really want, and that the majority, being 90% of people do not smoke. They demand this. I was even talking to someone yesterday who was on a cruise in Europe, different cruise line, and they mentioned that there was only one spot to smoke on the cruise [liner]. It was a tiny, little room and a little corner of the ship.
It’s moving slower than I would like and slower than we deserve as a human race. But you know, we’re making strides and we were responsible for bringing the smoke free room to downtown Vegas.
GS: Well, this concludes our interview. Thank you very much to Brian Christopher and his team for participating. We’re really grateful for your time, and we look forward to speaking to you again.
