The UK is set to bring in new restrictions for online slots that will make them less intensive and safer according to the Gambling Commission.
The changes include an introduction of spin speed limits, as well as a blanket ban on features that celebrate losses or speed up play.
Casino operators will need to clearly display the total losses or wins to the player moving forward.
The new rules will be introduced by 31 October, giving slot game developers time to make the necessary changes to slots available at UK online casinos.

The move by the Gambling Commission is in the wake of a raft of changes that have been made to online casino games in recent years. With particular focus on games that appear to exploit peoples vulnerabilities when exposed to gambling products.
These latest changes follow other announcements about potential shake ups to other parts of the gambling industry, such as a ban on advertising on football shirts for gambling operators and abolishing reverse pending times on payments.
“Evidence shows that reverse withdrawal functions present a risk to players because of the temptation to continue gambling,” said the Gambling Commission in a statement.
“In addition, the slot features being removed or more closely controlled have been associated with increased intensity of play, loss of player control or binge play.”
Recent changes to online gambling in the UK have included, a raise in the the age limit for playing the National Lottery to 18 and banning the use of credit cards for depositing at gambling sites.
