Independent game developer Thunderkick has recently launched its newest slot game, Sword of Arthur, which takes players on an exciting adventure to the Ancient Briton of King Arthur.
Mythical tale
The game features King Arthur himself as the highest-paying symbol, along with his armor and shield. The lower-paying symbols are represented by fantasy-style playing card symbols. The legendary sword of Arthur serves as both the wild and ccatter symbol, helping players form winning combinations and triggering the bonus game.
Players can win by landing matching symbols on any of the 10 paylines across the 3×5 reel set. To activate the free spins bonus game, players need to land a minimum of three sword symbols anywhere on the grid.
Bonus game
Before the bonus game starts, one symbol is randomly chosen to become the expanding symbol, which is then assigned an initial 1x multiplier. When the Expanding symbol contributes to a winning combination, it expands to cover the entire reel, increasing the existing multiplier by 1x and resetting the number of free spins to its initial value.

Sword of Arthur is another legend-themed game in Thunderkick's Sword series so is pretty predictable as to its mechanic. That said, the Camelot scene and music are very well executed with 10 lines played over 5 reels of 3 rows. Single symbols here with the sword Wild/scatter paying 200x bet for 5-of-a-kind and other symbols from 100x down to 5x bet. We get the Book-style bonus here for 3 Wild/scatters in view, but only get 3 free games although they reset whenever the selected expanding scatter symbol lands enough in view to produce a win. The difference on this game is that each winning combination raises the multiplier for the next win involving your expanding symbol by 1x which explains the 10,000x stake maximum win potential of the game.
