Outlaw Megaways slot review

outlaw megaways slot gameOutlaw Megaways slot by Big Time Gaming is surely going to be their most famous game since the classic Bonanza. It has combined most elements of the 4096-way slots like Danger High Voltage and the colossal potential of Lil' Devil slot and it's successor Wild Flower into a Megaways mechanic.  As with the latter two named slots we again have a soundtrack by 1980-1990's rock group The Cult and a lightened representation of an arcane theme here with skulls and angels for example.  No doubt we shall see some high volatility on the game so we'll just have to hope our bankroll doesn't get outlawed as soon as we move into town here.

On the reels..
We have 2-7 rows on each of the 6 reels thus Outlaw Megaways offers 64 to 117649-ways to win every spin. The decorative Skull is the highest 6-of-a-kind paying 10x 4 with a big drop to the Rose at 1.5x with card values paying 0.4 or 0.3x for 6OAK.  You can get stacked Wilds on the centre 4 reels at 1x for the Outlaw and 7x multiplier for the Sheriff so if you land 3 of those that's a 243x multiplier running through! , an obvious lift from DHV slot.  Symbols appear stacked and singly and are not replaced in tumbles, Bull Skull scatters appear on all reels with a special gold one on reel 6 as we'll soon discover.

Free Spins
You can choose from 2 options here on Outlaw Megaways slot when you trigger the bonus with 3 scatters.  If you are familiar with the BTG 4096-way games you'll recognise the bonus rounds immediately although there are subtle differences.  Should your trigger involve the gold Super Scatter on reel 6, then the enhanced choice is triggered as with Lil' Devil slot:
Fallen Angel Bonus - this option awards you 7 spins.  A card value is selected to act as a sticky Wild if it appears anywhere on the centre outlined 4 reels. If a column fills up at any point with the sticky Wilds, you get +3 spins. Sticky Wilds on all 4 centre reels of appears to then make the ways per spin fixed after that point in time. Your enhanced version gives you a premium symbol in addition to the card value so you have 2 possible sticky Wilds in this option should you choose it.
Dizzy in the Head Bonus
For this 8 free spins are awarded with the chance of retriggering  4, 6 or 8 if you see 3, 4 or 5 scatters land during the round. This is a version of the DHV 'High Voltage' bonus but this time the stacked multiplying Ladder Wild is guaranteed on one of the middle 4 reels each spin with a random 11-77x multiplier in increments of 11. It climbs the ladder to a value which applies to any winning combination it takes part in. The enhanced version removes the lower ladder value every time it counts in a win and 111x replaces the 77x as the top value. Each subsequent win it counts in does the same until you hit the limit whereby the lowest ladder rung value becomes 111x and 777x is the highest!

Our View...
With Outlaw Megaways somehow BTG have created a brilliant transformation of their famous 4096-way features into the Megaways format - and it works. The RTP here is 96.10% alternatively 96.16% using feature buys.  The bonus can be bought for 70x bet or 300x bet for the enhanced version in some jurisdictions. Wherever you are located it's possible to gamble wins of 25 and 100x via a segmented wheel for a bonus (losing all if unsuccessful) and if winning over 100x bet you may exchange 100x for a guaranteed feature and keep the change.  The appearance, sounds and animations are very good here and huge wins can be had in the base game via the 7x Wilds, I think it's possible to land 4 of them whereas the 6x Wilds on DHV only allowed 3 maximum.  Now you are not limited to 4096-ways huge potential has been unlocked in both versions of the free games and full 117649-way spins do occur quite often in both formats.  Put simply, Outlaw Megaways is a very exciting slot whether your cash ends up on the right side of the law or not...
