She Wolf slot summary
She Wolf slot has been available in land-based casinos for a while and now joins H5G's ever-growing catalogue of online games. As part of the IGT group we'd expect a high volume of games but quantity as ever doesn't necessarily translate into quality and that was the first impression I had with She Wolf. We are faced with a dull brown and blue design centred around the She Wolf's ramshackle hut in the forest and the reels sit over one wall of this hut made from an animal hide. Things improve a bit with the gentle and haunting Native American music and some nice icons but you may prefer the Buffalo Spirit or Indian Spirit slots of a similar theme. Appearance doesn't make for a good slot on its own though, so will She Wolf bare her teeth at your balance - or not?
On the reels...
The grid consists of 5 reels, 4 rows and you are given 40 pay lines. The icons all appear stacked thus will not be hugely impressive with their awards, as one may expect. The game's icon is the Wild and these can pay 125x bet for a 5-of-a-kind win and we then see the Wolf Lady for 2x bet (80 coins) and various wolves paying 70, 60 and 50 coins for all 5. The card values offer between 11 and 15 coins but the game does have the 'super stacks' feature on each spin whereby any paying symbol may be stacked in columns tens of rows high on the reels. Theoretically you could land a full screen of Wilds paying 5000x bet, but remember I did say 'theoretically'!
Wolverine free games
On reels 2, 3 and 4 you will see a totem carving of a mythical wolverine and all 3 together will trigger 7 free games. You don't get a Wild on reel 1 during these but you do get the letters B-O-N-U-S appear on the reels in sequence. If you see all of these appear in any order you will fill the 'BONUS' meter and retrigger 7 more spins. The enhancement is that the super stacks can only be the top-paying 4 symbols. You can only retrigger 3 times for a maximum of 28 spins, and if you do fill the 'BONUS' meter letters a fourth time on the last of these, i.e. spins 22-28 you will be awarded a 10x multiplier on your accrued winnings.
Our View...
She Wolf slot hasn't really improved on the cabinet version which is a shame as there is scope add a few bells and whistles in the online format. The base game is uninspiring and decent wins in excess of 10x bet hard to come by. It seems to drain your bankroll which you then hope to recover in the rare event of a bonus but seldom did I see the retrigger meter fill even once, so the end results were disappointing. For such low line pays the volatility seems quite high and your hopes will be centred around an extremely rare big win consisting of Wilds only. The RTP is 94.90% but this certainly isn't reflected in the base game! I'm afraid She Wolf has bitten me once too often...
