Ruby Casino Queen slot summary
Ruby Casino Queen slot via Microgaming was developed by Just For The Win, a smaller studio although they have made quite a few slots as of now including Deco Diamonds, Reel Splitter and Lucky Links which are all available through MG's Quickfire medium. Here we have a traditional theme concerning the trappings of casino success with clear crisp symbols over a plain background and the soft hotel lobby jazz as we play while the sound of casino chips and coins chimes in when the reels stop. Our main character here is Ruby, whether she is a successful gambler or a hanger-on to the high rollers I don't know, but let's hope some of her gems can find their way into our bankroll.
On The Reels...
We are given 20 fixed pay lines on Ruby Casino Queen slot, with symbols stacked and single on what is otherwise a pretty basic if colourful game. The pays are 20x bet for the Wild or Ruby herself, 8x Diamonds, 6x 7's and the four jewelled card suits are all 1.5 for a full line. There are basic free spin scatters on reels 2,3 and 4 and nothing in the way of random modifiers as anything worth noting is reserved for the free games. You do get a respin if only two of the -
Free Spins
Having landed your 3 scatters, 9 free games begin at a basic 2x multiplier. The middle scatter stays in place and becomes a sticky Wild tile. You lose the stacked Wilds now and any further Wilds are either single Sticky Wilds or Multiplier Sticky Wilds. The multiplier in play will rise 1x for every subsequent Multiplier Sticky Wild landing. If you get a sticky Wild of either type on all 5 reels eventually, you'll get 3 extra spins as there's no scatters on the reels now. All very like a poor man's Dead or Alive slot.
Our View...
Ruby Casino Queen slot looks and sounds very nice even if the bonus is a rather pathetic take on Netent's Dead or Alive original slot, with a 2x multiplier and extra spins for a Wild on all reels. Admittedly we get the Wild headstart on reel 3 and the chance of an increasing multiplier but you can see where the idea came from. The base game potential is only 400x for a full screen of Wild or top Ruby symbol and although it's possible to exceed this in the bonus, I see it as being unlikely. You get 96.30% as your RTP and the base game can throw some medium wins in but in summation I cannot see a good reason to return to Ruby's casino...
