Tiki Vikings slot by Microgaming is developed by Just For The Win who have been an in-house developer of varying success for this slots giant. Their other games include the reasonable Lucky Links, colourful Goldwyn's Fairies and pretty awful Reel Splitter with Rainbrew possibly being the best one although that's my opinion only. This slot looks instantly childish with a ridiculous theme of cartoon Vikings on bamboo reels laid over a Hawaiian beach hut with the predictable soundtrack of ukulele music assaulting our ears. I sincerely hope things improve from here, especially for our bankroll.
On The Reels...
We have 20 fixed pay lines here on Tiki Vikings slot with two distinct types of symbols, the card values which are stacked and Viking characters which are single. There's not even a Wild or scatter which makes me think my initial impressions about this game could be correct, or in fact even worse than I feared. The game logo is the highest 5-of-a-kind win at 15x bet, Orange Viking 7.5x, Yellow Viking 5x and Blue one 3.5x with four card values all paying 3x bet for a full line. There's absolutely no modifier here so it's over to the bonus feature, if we can call it that.
Respins
Any win consisting of the top four symbols will hold all in view in place for a series of respins. This simply means they carry on until a spin adds no further symbols to the grid, or it fills up with all 15 the same. Assuming you had the top game logo one, this would be a gigantic 300x bet. Unlike games like Jack Hammer, the respins don't have to add symbols to the winning lines or create them, they can land anywhere, even in 'dead' positions to perpetuate the spins. Once you reach a certain number of respins, the symbols upgrade so you may end up with a different winning symbols than you began with. That's all folks!
Our View...
Tiki Vikings slot is a game I simply cannot find anything positive to say about, aside from a reasonable 96.01% RTP. It's utterly tedious, looks and sounds dreadful and I think a fair summary is to say that it's a complete waste of bandwidth. The nature of the feature means that the triggering wins can take tens of spins to appear, and the frustration of seeing pointless unconnected symbols on the end 2 reels is unbearable. I don't know what this slot is trying to be, but it won't be getting tried with my money - ever. This is one to tiki off your play list right away...
