Amulet of the Pharaoh slot is the first feature-based mew Merkur game for a while and it seems to be a jolly decent effort too, better looking than their last Egypt theme of Pharao's Riches. There are numerous choices for the fans of Teutonic high-variance slots with the same theme, such as Novomatic's Pharaoh's Ring and of course Book of Ra Deluxe and the numerous other versions of it that exist. Typical of Merkur little effort is wasted on animations or music, with a silent idle game and the trademark tapping as the reels stop although a little Egyptian chord briefly plays during a spin. The reels are papyrus with a statues of Horus guarding the sides and hints of a secret chamber beyond, but are there any treasures to add to our bankroll?

No Low Pays Spins
If you see 3 Scroll Scatters landing on reels 1,3 and 5 then you get 10 free spins with the Hook and all card values removed from the reels. Again, these can be retriggered in the same way.

Amulet of the Pharaoh slot is nowhere near as brutal on the bankroll as many Merkur games can be, with some frequent and reasonable wins occurring in the base game. Typical of this developer you get no frills either with graphics or sound effects and that goes for animations too. The RTP is 96.00% so average for most slots and of course the RTP is heavily weighted to the bonus rounds which are therefore not always easy to hit, but produce regular retriggers and good returns, especially the Added Wilds variation of free spins. There doesn't seem to be any Pharaonic curse around this slot...
