The 5x4 reels of Silverback Gold slot have 1024-ways to win with symbols single aside from the double-stacked Silverback occasionally appearing. The 5-of-a-kinds are 8x bet Gold Gorilla, 4x Silver Gorilla, 3x Croc or Leopard, 2.5x Snake or Bird with six card values of either 1.5 or 1x. A Sun Disc scatter appears on all reels and you get a random modifier whereby 6-20 Silverbacks can be added to the grid during the spin. Sunset Wilds can appear single too anywhere in view.

When triggered you get 10 spins for 3 scatters, 15 for 4 or 20 for 5 Sun Discs. Before you start you must play a bonus game collecting Gold Discs on a 3 re-spin basis and these have values of 1-25 on each. Up the top you will see each animal symbol has a value of 30, 60, 120 and 200 for the Bird respectively. The score you get in the re-spins counts toward the upgrades of each symbol in turn to the Silverback. In the free spins the Silverback may be overlaid with a Gold Disc and add another 1-25 to the upgrade score. Get to 300 and the Silverback then turns gold and doubles in value to 8x bet for 5OAK. The top symbol appears super stacked in the bonus and 2 scatters earns you 3 extra spins and full retriggers plus the random Silverback feature can happen. Our View...
With a 96.00% RTP Silverback Gold slot isn't a bad game but the base game wins seem to depend on the random Silverback feature appearing. The gameplay is fine with decent enough sound effects and graphics but nothing out of the ordinary. I'm not sure why the bonus require the collection re-spins before it starts as these coins could have simply been added to the free games in bigger quantities instead. The feature can be bought in some countries for 100x bet which tells you it isn't easy to land and is very volatile. I can see how the potential could be huge here with the Wild multipliers and Gold Gorillas if you got the full upgrades and plenty of extra spins, but let me tell you that would be very unlikely! Having said that, it has huge potential unusually for most Netent slots so your silver could indeed turn gold here...
