Free The Wolf’s Bane slot
Please be patient, some games take longer to load than others!
The Wolf's Bane slot by Netent takes us in to dark Nordic folklore with a bleak medieval village under moonlight behind our transparent reels and dark spooky and dramatic music punctuated with wolf howls to indicate impending peril. This initial appearance is very well executed and looks a class above many of the other slots with horror themes, namely Yggdrasil's Wolf Hunters and the pretty lamentable Wolf Rising by IGT, but 2BY2 Gaming's Wolfheart slot certainly gives it a run for the money. So can this wolf not prey on our bankroll or will it be the bane of your balance?
On The Reels...
There are 10 fixed pay lines over a 5x3 grid on The Wolf's Bane slot with symbols single. There are 4 different Wilds on the game which all pay 50x bet for 5-of-a-kind. The Clawed Man is the standard Wild, Green Wolf Wild the expanding Wild, the Werewolf the 2x Multiplying Wild and finally the Moon Wolf is a Spreading Wild. Only the standard Wild appears in the base game. The symbol icons are Soldier 50x, Lady 30x, Farmer or Nurse 20x with four card values paying either 7x or 6x for our 15-coin bet. The Full Moon is ur main scatter on all reels and we have an Archer on reels 1, 3 and 5 for a secondary feature but no random modifiers.
Pick and Click Feature
Land the Archer on the 3 odd reels and get a pick-me of the 3 symbols to win cash awards of 5 to 50x stake. Whoopee.
Three Full Moons in view will trigger 10 spins, more for 4 or 5 which will award thr maximum 20 spins. You can retrigger them too. Before you start, the game selects a Wild type for you which will feature in the bonus and can be the standard Wild or one of the 3 better ones described above. You are guaranteed each spin to have one tile on the first 3 reels transform into the selected Wild as well as any others which land randomly on the reels.
The Wolf's Bane slot as said looks very good but is of low-medium volatility so you'll never win really big on it, although 5 expanding Wilds in action at once in the bonus may yield over 500x if in the right sequence. Your RTP is a creditable 96.74% with the game displaying crisp clean graphics and good animations and the sound effects are superb. The spins bonus isn't hard to get but I'm not sure why Netent added the silly pick-me with a potential win of 50x - surely this would be better added to the free games RTP? Anyway, I won't be howling mad to play this again, but the wolf certainly looks good...
