The reels are transparent and lie over a desert village and we have mystery music in line with the magic hinted at within the title. There are 20 fixed pay lines over the usual grid size of 5 reels of 3 rows here on Aladdin and the Sorcerer slot and the symbols are very simple. We get 5 different colour gems and the top ones are framed in gold and their low-pay equivalents aren't. Red Hexagon in gold pays 50x bet for 5-of-a-kind and 6.25x plain, Pink Square 20x and 5x, Blue Diamond 12.5 and 3.75x, Turquoise Triangle 10x and 2.5x and finally Green Circle 7.5x and 2x for a full line. Wilds pay 50x bet for 5OAK although they only appear on the centre 3 reels which suggests there's some extras somewhere along the line. Symbols are single and Aladdin can appear on reel 1 and the Sorcerer on reel 5 and either one or both is where the fun starts!
When Aladdin lands on reel 1 and the Sorcerer doesn't land on reel 5 3 to 6 randomly-placed Wilds are added to the grid. The same is true for the Sorcerer appearing on reel 5 without Aladdin on reel 1.
As you may have guessed, if both appear at once, the main feature begins and they both turn Wild throughout. This means reels 1 and 5 both add a stacked Wild and respins are triggered. Both Aladdin and the Sorcerer start with 3 health bars and each time one appears without the other, they remove one of the opponent's bars. If Aladdin loses his 3 bars first, the respins end. If the Sorcerer loses the battle, you go to Level 2 and get 3 respins with any Wilds from the previous spin sticky on the reels. The first one is standard, the second respin all Wilds have a 2x multiplier which are additive and the third respin all Wilds are 3x. That's it. Apparently there is some big-win potential here and Pragmatic tell us this game is on the volatile side.
Aladdin and the Sorcerer slot is certainly appealing to watch and listen to with excellent graphics, animations and sound effects. The feature comes in quite frequently although I'd say the Sorcerer wins pretty quickly in most cases leaving you with 10-40x in yield. You tend to find that whichever one appears on his reel first wins but not always! There is some potential here if you get several Wilds in view when triggering level 2 but you'll not be seeing 1000x wins or more here. The RTP is 96.23% which is fine and I must say I found the game very easy on the balance, so I will try rubbing the magic lamp again for sure...
