Mysterious slot by Pragmatic Play is a superb looking game which carries the theme very well. Spooky and dramatic music assails us as we see a night time village scene behind the reels lit by thunder and lightning to complete the effect. It competes with Netent's excellent Blood Suckers 2 slot in appearance which was even better than the original Blood Suckers slot although i feel compelled to state that Iron Dog's Blood Queen gives that game a run for its money. So will it prove fatal for our bankroll too?
On The Reels...
We have a grid of 4 reels of 4 rows each and 256-ways to win, the same as Big Time Gaming's Donuts slot. Mysterious slot needs 10 coins to play and the 6-of-a-kind pays from the stacked and single symbols are Mysterious Logo 25x, Gold Devil 10x, Silver 6x, Bronze 5x, Purple 3x with four card suits paying either 2.5 or 2x. Now you may be wondering why I mention 6OAK pays on a 4-reel game - the 4oak pays are only about a third of those mentioned above, but we do get 4096-ways over 6 reels in the bonus! We have a few modifiers first though.
Random Spin Features
By the right of the grid there are 3 creepy characters. Any one can randomly activate their ghost over the reels during a spin and provide an enhancement.
The Lord - Is Wild and can give more than 1, with each awarding either a 2 or 3x multiplier which are in turn multiplicative.
The Lady - this Wild will pay wins then randomly reveal an expanded symbol to possibly award a new winning combination.
The Baron - this Wild will expand vertically and may fill the whole reel.

You get 8 for 3 free spins scatters or 12 for all 4. You now get a 6-reel grid of 4096 ways and can choose on eof 2 modes:
Locking Multiplier Spins - any Gold Clock landing awards a multiplier for any wins on that spin of 3,6,9 or 12x. If 2 land, you get 2 extra spins played immediately with both multiplier locked in place.
Resurrecting Roaming Wilds - any Wilds landing will fade away roaming the grid and may reappear on a spin which lands another one or more Wilds.
Our View...
Mysterious slot is pretty good I have to say. It has a 96.50% RTP which is a good job as the game is volatile. The graphics, animations and sound effects are superb and the game is very atmospheric. The base game can be harsh without the random interventions but the bonus rounds are both exciting and very entertaining and can pay very well if in the mood. It's no mystery to me that I shall pay the Lord, Lady and Baron another visit soon...
