Pyramid King slot by Pragmatic Play is scraping the barrel as it has a mechanic we have seen numerous times before from both themselves and other developers. You get a temple background in the desert, boppy Egyptian music and all the symbols you'd expect from the theme. Not as good looking as the excellent Cleopatra Plus slot from IGT or even their ancient old original Cleopatra Slot and I bet it won't be as exciting as any of the volatile Egyptian themed slots such as Book of Dead either. On The Reels...

You have 25 pay lines on Pyramid King slot with symbols single except for the Wild Pharaoh Mask which can appear stacked along with the Camel Bonus Cash scatters and is the highest 5-of-a-kind pay at 20x stake along with the Anubis. Next is the Ring at 16x, Asp 12x, Ankh 8x with four card values paying 2x for a full line. Bonus Scrolls can appear on any reel too. There are two features to play for here.

Money Respin Feature

You need 6 or more Cash Camel symbols in view. When you get them, they remain in place and other positions respin with only blanks or Cash Camels possible. The re-spins begin at 3 and reset to 3 each time an additional one lands. You can get Minor or Major fixed jackpots land as well as cash values, which are 30 and 100x bet respectively. If you land all 15 positions, you get the Grand Jackpot of 1000x bet, otherwise you simply get the total values of the Cash Camels landed.

Free Spins

Three Scroll scatters on reels 1,3 and 5 triggers 10 free games with an expanding scatter symbol selected at random which cannot be the Scroll but could be the Cash Camel or the Wild, in which case you'd trigger the Money Respins each time 2 or more Camels landed as this would award a minimum of the 6 Camels necessary. You can retrigger them too with 3 more Scroll scatters. So we don't get big line pays with the Anubis being the highest possible at 20x and over 25 lines, 5 of these landing would be 500x if it were the selected expanding scatter. Wilds don't count with your selected symbol either and it's possible to trigger the Money Respin feature if you land 6 Camels.

Our View...

Pyramid King slot is yet another hybrid which takes two old mechanics and blends them into one distinctly average game. The RTP is good at 96.50% with medium-high volatility and some potential if you land the 1000x prize in the cash re-spins. The game isn't too tiring and only moderately annoying for any length of time but I found the game play quite good overall with regular wins and features. So if you want a less volatile Book of Ra type game with a little more going on, Pyramid King is worth a visit...
