Mystic Wheel slot by Red Tiger is one which upon seeing the information screen at first sight had me groaning about wheel bonuses which are invariably tedious, short-lived and poor in returns. I am happy to say that I was proved wrong here and we do have a feature here that is both exciting and can last for quite a while. The theme is of magic and mystery with dark reels set over the Mystic Wheel in the background and some suspenseful music to provide the soundtrack. As a fan of mystery themes I have played those slots many a time including Netent's Arcane Reel Chaos, Foxium's The Great Albini and Merkur's brutally volatile Magic Mirror Deluxe, so can we wheel in some big hits for our bankroll here?
On The Reels...
We get a large grid of 5 reels of 4 rows each and 30 pay lines on Mystic Wheel. The symbols can appear stacked and the pays are not that high as this slot is all about the wheel feature. We pay 30-coins to spin and get 300 back for 5-of-a-kind Diamonds, 165 Brooch, 120 Ring, 75 Key with four card suits from 45 down to 36 coins. There are no Wilds at all and the game logo is the scatter appearing on all reels. There are no random modifiers either, so what is so special about the wheel here?

Again this is simple, you get a spin for each triggering scatter initially, so 3 to 5 goes. The wheel starts with times-stake amounts, +3 spins, To Add which adds more to all cash amounts, Double All and Question marks for a random choice of those. Quite simply, with extra spins and the effects of adding to and doubling the cash amounts those initial 2x or 3x values can soon become x48 or x192 for example and you bank the amounts each time you land on them. Red Tiger tell us the top yield for this round is capped at 10,000x bet so there is the chance of some sizeable wins here. The feature simply ends when you run out of spins, there are no kill-offs on it.
Our View...
Mystic Wheel slot is possibly the best feature slot I have played where the player's favourite bonus, the free spins round, is not present at all. It's about time we saw a slot which offers a wheel bonus actually make it worthwhile and in this instance it usually is. The overall feel and look of the game is pretty basic as are the sound effects and music but it's not too hard to trigger the feature and of course there is the chance of some huge wins from it. We have the usual Red Tiger RTP of just over 96%, in this case 96.16%, so no concerns there either. Sorry for the pun, but with a wheely good feature I shall be spinning this Mystery themed slot again quite soon...
