On The Reels...
Joker Megaways slot is incredibly simple with 3 reels randomly displaying 2 to 8 rows thus offering 8 to 512 ways per play. Symbols can appear both stacked and singly with no Wilds and unusually, winning tiles do not get replaced from above so it essentially plays like a basic 3-reel old-style machine. It's 10-coins to play and the 3-of-a-kind pays are 5x bet for Stars, 2x Bell, 1x Melon, 0.8x Grapes, 0.5x Plum, 0.3 Lemon and 0.2 Cherry. There are no modifiers but Jokers can appear on all 3 reels.
Free Games
Land a Joker on all 3 reels and 10 free games are yours which can be retriggered with 3 Jokers. You do get an increasing multiplier by 1x for every Joker landing during them too which is good because now the Joker is Wild. It has no value itself but will count more than once to make winning ways. You also get paid wins before the Joker extra multipliers are added. A retrigger usually means a very good return but the round is very volatile and we are told 5,000x is possible.
Our View....
Joker Megaways slot has many dead spins in the base game and if not in the UK you can buy the free games for 100x bet. The RTP is 96.56% which isn't bad but there's not a lot to say about the retro style of the symbols, sounds and animations. Free games pay on average around 100x bet so are hard to land and very volatile, 0 to 10x bet is not uncommon. You know you're in the money when you retrigger them as the Joker Wilds are quite frequent during the bonus and so you'll likely hit a big win along the way. I'm still not sure if Megaways works well on a 3-reel game, but each to their own...
