WGS Technology was launched in 1998 under the previous name OddsOn Casino Software and later Vegas Technology. They are one of the few developers who remained in the US market following the introduction of UIGEA in 2006, when most other developers, including Microgaming and Playtech, fled. This risky strategy allowed the company to be part of a very lucrative market, which was low in competition, but fraught with legal obstacles. WGS Technology has so far navigated the perils of US authorities and are still providing casino software all these years later. They are a very secretive company, with little in the way of a corporate website or profile. The changes of name though suggest that they have had their run-in’s with law makers over the years.
The suite of WGS Technology slots include 5, 6 and 7 reel games as well as some classic slots. Some of their best known titles include Cleopatra’s Pyramid, Amanda Panda and Double Gold, with well over 100 games to choose from. They also produce other casino-style games for online play, including table games, card games and instant wins.
