Atlantean Gigarise slot summary
Atlantean Gigarise slot from Yggdrasil probably owes its name indirectly to BTG's Megaways. It seems every developer not using that license tries to come out with their own variation that creates zillions of possible ways for the player, with a different mechanic. Yggdrasil's Hades Gigablox slot was one of the first examples of this, followed by the silly Lucky Neko Gigablox and the Megaways-lite Syncronite Splitz slot. In this instance we have the typical undersea background for the theme including Atlantis, epic classical music and bubbles aplenty to remind us where the reels are. So can our bankroll rise up from the waves or will it become a lost legend like this mythical sunken city?

Symbols can appear stacked on Atlantean Gigarise slot with a starting arrangement of 4-5-6-3-7 or 2520-ways to win. Landing a Trident on any reel expands its rows by 1 and when it reaches 8 a bonus is triggered by the Trident landing on it but we'll come to that. Fully expanded, the game has 5 reels and 294,912-ways. The 5-of-a-kind pays are 2x bet Ring, 1.2x Helmet or Sword, 1x Lyre or Vase with five card values all at 0.4x. You have Oyster scatters on all reels and stacked Wilds can appear on all reels too.
Trident Bonuses
So having a fully-expanded 8-row reel you'll get this game if a Trident lands on it, and it'll reset to 3-rows afterwards. Before this happens, you get a single row of 5 symbols in play and 3 lives, resetting each time a symbols lands. These symbols can be one of the five progressive jackpots seeded at 40, 200, 600, 1,500 and 15,000x bet respectively. The alternatives are cash values up to 200x and if in free games 3-20 extra spins but you can also trigger the free games initially from this feature. The levels are chosen randomly from bronze, silver and gold with legendary only available if the bonus is won in free games. The prizes are commensurate with the level.
Free Games
You get 20, 40 or 80 for 3, 4 or 5 scatters respectively. You get retriggers in the same amounts but also +5 spins for 2 scatters in the round. You always start the free games with 243-ways and increase reels via the Trident symbols, which tend to be more common now. You have a bout a 50% chance from my testing of seeing the bonus game triggered during the free games. We are told the best pay for this slot aside from jackpots, was 4,370x bet in testing. So not huge potential, but nice enough.
Our View...
Atlantean Gigarise slot has a RTP of 96.00% of which 3.8% is sent to the progressives, so effectively you will be playing a low 92.20%. You don't see many wins over 20x bet in the base game either. The slot looks and sounds good enough but the bonus round triggered by the Trident on a full reel is pretty dire, nearly always a few poor coin values, even on the silver and gold levels. The free games are where the fun starts as you get quite a few of them probably to help you have a chance of getting enough Tridents to trigger the bonus game. Irrespective of the amount of ways you have in play, you still won't tend to see any really good results from the free games although as I said they are entertaining enough to watch. I hope this slot remains just as lost as Atlantis itself after this rather tedious ordeal...
