Online and social casino slot developer Gamesys announced that it was abandoning its involvement in Facebook social gaming this week.
The shock news came after the developer had confirmed that it had pulled its innovative and frequently-played Slots Frenzy and Bingo apps from the popular social networking site.
Gamesys has built an enhanced reputation over the years with slot releases such as the wild animal-themed Buffalo Wild Wins slot and the crazy and chaotic Jalapeno Racers slot.
However, the developer has stunned fans of its games across the online and social casino slots genre by pulling its titles from Facebook leaving many players disappointed that they can no longer play the apps.
The apps had been available to play on Facebook for the past two years and had been played daily by thousands of users. The apps were operated by Jackpotjoy and players have been told to withdraw their positive balances.
There has been no official explanation for why Gamesys is withdrawing the games from the social networking site and there was no warning that the developer was planning to abandon its interest in social gaming apps on Facebook.
