Australian-based slots supplier Ainsworth has announced that it is set to progress with plans to enter the European real-money market in partnership with software developer Playtech in 2015.

Ainsworth plans to enter the real-money online gaming market in Europe during the first quarter of 2015 with a social casino product scheduled to be released as early as January and a mobile product to be released later in the year.

The company confirmed at its annual general meeting that there had been significant changes in the development of both the online and social gaming markets that has encouraged the firm to press on with its planned entry into the European real-money market. Ainsworth’s plans to invade the European real-money market come just two weeks after its partnership with Playtech was officially confirmed.

Ainsworth’s Executive Chairman Len Ainsworth stated “The proliferation of social networks have created massive user bases in the social casino segment which could provide the gateway to real-money gaming.”

Ainsworth has established itself as a prolific supplier of slots since being set up in 1995 with a number of recently well-received releases including the oriental Dragon Lines slot and the mystical and mysterious Sheer Magic slot.

Playtech remains one of the biggest names in the gaming industry that not only powers some of the largest online casinos on the market but also develop their own slots titles such as the movie-themed Gladiator slot and the epic new release White King.

Playtech CEO Shay Segev commented on the partnership agreement between the two firms “The Ainsworth game supply agreement is our first partnership with the world’s leading land-based content providers whose games will be distributed across all our channels.”

He added “This will give our existing and future online licensees access to proven, premium, localised land-based content, enriching both our and our licensees’ casino offerings as well as giving their players access to an even greater choice of quality titles.”
