egr awards trophy

Malta-based Yggdrasil Gaming took the prestigious ‘slot provider of the year’ crown at the EGR’s B2B Awards in London last night. The annual event, which brings together the biggest names in online casino, sports betting and poker, took place at The Pavilion at The Tower of London.

Yggdrasil had to fight off competition from some of the leading game developers in the industry to pick up the award. Microgaming, Playtech, Quickspin and NetEnt were just a few of the 10 companies who were shortlisted.

Earlier today Yggdrasil posted the news on their website, with a photo of the coveted award. The company was obviously very pleased to have beaten off stiff competition and get the recognition they deserve from the idustry.

Fredrik Elmqvist, CEO at Yggdrasil Gaming, said: “Winning Software Rising Star at last year’s EGR B2B Awards was absolutely fantastic and we could only dream that a year on we would be voted Slot Provider of the Year. This really is a huge award for us to win – you just have to look at the other nominees to see what an important category it is.”

Yggdrasil’s growing portfolio includes a wide range of popular online slot games, such as: Seasons, Monkey King, and Nirvana.

Other winners from last nights event included Playtech picking up mobile gaming software and NetEnt for innovation in slot provision.
