Temple of Treasure slot makes it a nice round ten games for the Blueprint's Megaways license but unlike Legacy of Ra we don't really get a different mechanic here. This is more of a variation of the Diamond Mine slot, itself a version of Bonanza. We have a Mayan theme here with tribal music and the obligatory stone reels and temple background for our grid too but overall the appearance is quite good and the soundtrack powerful. Are we going to please the Gods by offering our bankroll up here, or will it be more a case of jeopardy in the jungle?
The six reels here have the capacity to show from 2 to 7 rows each on the outside two, or 3 to 7 rows each in the middle as there is a scrolling line of 4 symbols above the centre 4 reels. This results in Temple of Treasure slot being able to display from 324 to 117,649 ways on any given spin. The pays are equivalent to those in the aforementioned Diamond Mine with 50x bet for the top 6-of-a-kind, the Idol. There is a substantial drop down to the next which is the Disc at 5x, Snake 2.5, Necklace 2x and six card values of either 1.5x ior 1x for a full way. Symbols can appear stacked and all winning tiles are removed and replacements cascade down so it's possible to win more than once per spin.
You can see on some spins any amount of positions on any reels land a Sun Disc, which will transform to reveal the same icon except the Wild or scatters. Wilds themselves can only appear singly on the top scrolling row above the middle four reels, same in the free games too.
You need to see 4 or more Pyramid scatters to trigger the bonus. You can get up to seven on one spin but any more than the 4 is rare. You will be taken to a screen where you can choose the volatility of your bonus by opting for one of three choices which are 5 spins at a minimum 10,000 way grid each spin, 10 with 2304 ways minimum per spin or 15 with 324 ways minimum. There is a mystery choice which will award one of those amounts of spins and minimum ways randomly. I would recommend the basic 15 spins exactly as you'd get on other Megaways games as with the increasing multiplier for every winning action, you can rack up some high values and they last longer! You can also get extra spins for seeing 3 or 4 Pyramid scatters on the top scrolling reel, as in the free games they don't appear on the normal reels.
Temple of Treasure Megaways is a pretty unspectacular game overall. They've even copied the sounds from Primal Megaways slot when you land wins in the free games bonus for some reason. The choice of bonus volatility is pretty pointless in my view considering more ways in play means less multiplier and either can affect any win potential in any case. This game has a good RTP of 96.46% and naturally being Blueprint Gaming there is a bonus buy for 100x bet, risky stuff if you ask me. I can't think of a good reason to play Temple of Treasure Megaways and I can't think of a reason not to either - it's a mix of potential and mundanity...
