There is a 6x7 grid here over which you get a minimum of 64 to a maximum of 117649-ways per spin. If the Athena Blocker moves left to a live tile position, you get 1-4 of your present Path symbols added, which may or may not help you win. Once the Path re-spins add no further winning tiles to maintain at least a 3-of-a-kind win of your Path symbol, the round ends.
When you've collected 3 Gold Coin scatters, 10 free games are triggered. These play exactly as above, but now you get a Labyrinth Blocker which will appear each spin along with possible Minotaur and Athena Blockers. If activated, it will add 1-3x to your multiplier which can only increase and is never reset, or may add 1-3 extra spins. This round can go on for quite a while with many extra spins and has some not inconsiderable potential, as Fantasma tell us up to 20,000x bet is possible.
Maze Escape Megaways slot has a 96.15% RTP and I must say I think it's the best Megaways they've made yet. The win frequency is low but you can get the Maze building occasionally and stack up multiple wins for your balance maintenance.
