Bejeweled started life as a popular gem swapping game that comes from the genre of games that also includes Tetris and Kyodai. You must eliminate gems in order to make room for others and avoid having your grid filled with gems.
When it was first rumored that Bejeweled would be making the transition to the slot genre, it caused a stir. There were thoughts that it could either be a huge success or a massive failure. If you've played Bejeweled then you will appreciate that it does have a kind of cult following so there was a lot of pressure on IGT to get this right from the get go and, let's face it, it isn't the easiest game format to convert into slot format. So, immediately, IGT were facing an uphill battle from the start but at the same time there was the potential to offer a very unique slot game for the market and that potential really excited me entering this review.

This slot is a great twist on a popular brain teasing game and there is no doubt that it will appeal to fans of the original Bejeweled game. It does feel like you are playing the original Bejeweled at times and the developer has done a great job in intertwining Bejeweled and the slot format together. Even if you do not like Bejeweled you cannot help but respect how it transfers into a slot and you might even find this slot becoming your guilty pleasure. The game play is simple, you can win big and it is something slightly different from the norm. It is pretty hard to find anything bad to say about this game so give it a go!
