Wild Ape Respins
This is a simple yet potentially profitable feature triggered by any 3 consecutive full reels of the Gorilla appearing during a spin. In a spectacular sequence the Gorilla smashes the reels to 4 rows and 40 pay lines and creates a colossal Wild on the 3 reels he landed on, which stays in place for 3 respins. Great if the feature is triggered on reels 1,2,3 or 2,3 and 4!
Free Spins
So bonus scatters have appeared on reels 1,3 and 5. You now get a bonus wheel with 6 to 20 free games on the outside segments and 10 to 50 extra Wilds on the inside one. These spin independently and you get the combination that occurs, i.e. 10 spins with 40 extra Wilds. The reels then expand to 4 rows each and you get 40 pay lines as with the Wild Ape respins above. No retriggers but if you get a good number of Wilds added from the wheel you tend to get a good win every spin and this adds up to some decent totals.
Our View...
Wild Ape slot isn't a high volatility game and you can theoretically only win 1000x bet on any respin or free spin. Perhaps 'only' is the wrong word as the free games can pay well as will the respin feature which seems to be harder to hit than the free spins themselves. The soundtrack is good and doesn't get tiresome and the graphics and animations are very good too. The RTP is 96% so no issues there either and base game awards are high and regular enough to sustain a decent session. I think this fine creaure is one you shouldn't avoid, no matter how loud his thumps and roars become...
