Fortune Fireworks slot by Leander Games reignites a traditional old slotting theme of the Chinese firecracker and the accompanying bangs and whistles, which were used by IGT on some old games to provide the soundtrack after big wins. We have numerous firework slots already with Netent's volatile Wild Rockets and then IGT's damp squib game called Fantastic Fireworks which were anything but and Betsoft's old Boomanji which falls somewhere in between. On The Reels...
Leander give us only 10 fixed pay lines on this quite simple Fortune Fireworks slot but lets' not lose enthusiasm as it isn't bad for a low-tech game. You pay 10 coins and more than one identical symbol can appear on each reel, with the Wild the top pay at 25x bet for 5-of-a-kind. The Rocket is 20x, Catharine Wheel 15x, Pyramid Firework 10x with the red, green or yellow Firecracker Strings at 4x for a full line. Sparkler scatters appear on all 5 reels too and these don't trigger free games but activate our modifiers when in play. All winning symbols on Fortune Fireworks explode away and are replaced from above until no more winning combinations occur.
Wild Blast
When 3 symbols occur adjacently anywhere on any of the 3 rows here, a Blast Symbol is created which will explode in a pattern of wilds. This doesn't apply to the firecracker wins, only the top 5 firework icons. If the row of 3 or more is on the first 3 reels, the Blast symbol goes to reel 1, on the centre 3 reels it goes to reel 3 and if on the last 3 reels it will go to reel 5. This remains in place spin after spin with the chance of more being added, until a Sparklers scatter lands adjacent to it whereupon it will explode and send a pattern of Wilds out. If a Wild lands over an existing Wild it will get a 2x multiplier, or if a Wild spins in on top of the held Blast symbol it too will Blast open for more Wilds.
Our View...
Fortune Fireworks slot really is colourful and noisy fun, although you'll never get stellar wins here as the volatility and potential is quite low, definitely a slot for the low-risk players who want a run for their deposit. The animations, sounds and graphics are as good as you would expect for this spectacular theme and the RTP a shade under 96%, at 95.98% to be exact. You can win some decent amounts if you collect 2 or 3 Blast scatters but when you consider the pay for a full screen of Wilds is only 250x bet, you get the picture here! As a fireworks slot, this is more a back garden selection box than an organised display...
