Heart of Rio slot by Pragmatic Play hardly uses an original theme but then again, it's one that has scope for much colour and the appearance of this doesn't disappoint. The samba music is predictable, as are the symbols but it's the same pretty much on all slots with this theme. Take for Example Red Tiger's Rio Stars slot, Cryptologic's old Samba Nights slot or even any newer one such as WMS' Brazilian Beauty slot and you'll know what I mean! So can we add some heart to our bankroll here or will we be sold down the rio here?

Money Collect Feature
Any one or more Money symbol Glitter Balls will trigger a feature as long as any Heart appears on reel 5 too. There are 5 different Hearts:
Yellow Collect - simply collects values in view.
Blue Extra Collect - the value this Heart displays is added to all Glitter Balls in view.
Pink Multiplier Collect - its multiplier is applied to all Money symbols in view.
Red Expanding Collect - any reels in 1-4 that display a Money symbol will expand adding new random values.
Green Re-spin Collect - your Money symbols are held and you re-spin the other positions to hopefully add more.
Free Games
Landing the Drums on the middle 3 reels awards 8 spins which can retrigger. Money symbols and all the Collect Features are active too. Any Money Symbol values are collected in a bonus pot. When your free games end, this pot is added to reels 1-4 as a colossal 4x3 Money Symbol. Reel 5 then spins and may land a Collect heart which award the amount. Or it may not.
Our View...
With a 96.50% RTP Heart of Rio slot is a bright and cheerful medium-volatility game. I won't say it's at all exciting with limited win sizes in the base game and all entertainment centring around the features which aren't too rare in the case of the Collect Hearts. Free games are harder to see and can pay well although be prepared for mostly disappointment on that all-important final Money Symbol spin! Other than this, I cannot say on this occasion that I left my heart in Rio...
